Step 5: Preparation for Teaching Position

1. Attend Orientation to Success and sign and submit documents

2 .Complete Pre-Service Field-Based Observations hours and submit all documentation

3. Attend and participate in EIT Program coursework

4. Appropriate and acceptable evidence of a clear national criminal background check (need to go to the SBEC website, click on fingerprinting and begin the process); and

5. Submit application and resume’ to school district/s

6. Apply for, obtain and maintain a teaching position

7. Complete requirements for probationary certificate
